Good to see the site's back up, if relocated, Kasper! I don't check my email all that often and finding the site gone worried me for a sec. Shame your previous hosting threw you out, but hey, at least it was because of the site's popularity. .net has more of an international feel anyway, I guess. Is...

Matt: The first thing you have to be aware of is that modules before the controller are polyphonic, while modules after are monophonic. So things affected by envelopes, for example, you will in most cases want before the notepitch controller (so each voice gets its own ADSR or cutoff modulation etc....

Re: Does anyone know whats happened with this?
I've checked the kvr forum but the posts have just stopped, and I can't find the patches that were supposed to be uploaded. boo. :( Yeah, I was looking forward to them too. Vonbrucken, the organiser, has made a lot of posts on KVR since the deadline though, I notice. There might be a lot of banks t...

These changes and additions sound wonderful Kasper! A bit of an essay follows: I'm immensely excited about the new sampler possibilities, and the overflow will also be of great use to me (I use quite a lot of resonance and feedback). The chorus is also very good news - I've never managed to get very...

I'm not from Birmingham originally. I was living in Selly Oak for a bit, then Kings Heath and now I guess I'm not really in Brum at all - Cradley Heath, Halesowen way. Heh, I don't recommend Cradley. Right click on the main workspace, follow the modulation sub-menu and select the MIDIdata module. Ctrl+click on the MIDIdata's title bar and, still holding control, click on the oscillator's freq knob to make the connection. If there's more than one oscillator in the patch, do this for all oscillato...

Hi commiekazi, welcome to the KarmaFX forums. Patching a modulation signal to another module isn't done in the same way as with audio signals. You patch it directly to the parameter you want to modulate - holding ctrl, click on the title bar of your modulator and then click on the actual slider or k...

See Matt's post below this one - he explains it better than I do The problem's this for me: For example, if polyphony was set to 3 and I played and held B, D and then played F# 3 times, B and D would stop sounding. B would be overwritten first, then D and the third time F# was played all 3 voices w...

Hi Kasper, I was playing with the KarmaFX synth the other day, and I noticed that you play the same key multiple times the other notes get cut off so that the previous notes of a melody cease to sound, leaving you with just the one note. Personally, I'd find it really useful if it was possible to gi...

I'm sorry robenestobenz, but doing what you suggested unfortunatly won't work. You see the controller generates a control signal that the generator uses to set its pitch, but it (edit: i.e. the generator) can only handle _one_ control signal per module (unless you are in polyphonic mode of course)....

Re: Extra Detune
Hi Chris, Offhand, I'd say you want them parallel. I.e. each notepitch module is initially on a separate signal path from the other, with both leading into the amp module. So you might have a signal chain like: ___|N.PITCH|________ / \ |OSC|- |AMP|----etc, \__|N.PITCH-2 OCT|____/ As far as I underst...

I do want to add to my christmass wish list further cc automation options (i forget how many there are now, six maybe eight, it 9AM and I slept few hours and even though I am quite awake still not functioning well). if there is already a way to ad another controller bank, i would love to know how (...

It's a tough question then. You could use two note controllers, probably using more CPU by way of a greater amount of polyphonic modules and saving CPU by having any subsequent effects monophonic. Also, if you just want to pan each osc differently, you'll only need to place an amp module before the ...

Re: bug- triggering sample in poly-mode
When you play a triggered sample in poly-mode there is strange behaviour. It seems that the sample is not triggered every note but only the first of the poly settings. So, for instance, in poly4 it triggers every 4th note. But is doesn't seem te be consequent either... :? cheers, f. You wouldn't ha...

The control feature lets you assign that parameter to one of 32 slots which will show up in your host for automation. Speaking of which, is there any plans to assign these custom names Kasper? It can get quite confusing keeping track of which number belongs to which comp when you multiple parameters...

KarmaFX Synth 0.94b bug
I've had cases where a tail has been cut off by the disable modules when they are inactive feature. I had a delay with a long tail and the sound would get gradually quieter as usual, and then just snap off suddenly. It seems to happen when there is no input. Secondly, the bandpass and notch settings...

Just a few things I'd like to see and think would be very useful (in no particular order): Right click allows user to change banks as well as patches.
