Re: i am not getting emails regarding karmafx anymore
Hi Kaspar, I too have not been receiving email for update links. I just read about the 64-bit update and would love to be able to get that. Thanks!

Re: My (Not So Bad) Feature Requests
this is a really good idea.kodama wrote:
Make the interface collapsable to just the control module on the bottom so preset users can get a simple interface to browse presets and see the 8 controller knobs set up for them.
Thanks!

btw guys, people have reported problems with this release in some hosts (Traction, Cubase SX)... which host are you using ? and does it work for you ? - Kasper / KarmaFX oh yeah, forgot to answer this. i'm using eXT. and i just tried it in SONAR with no problems. however, it crashed MiniHost as soo...

Hey Jammin ! for velocity, route the miditrig module into filter cutoff and it will do exactly that... not sure about aftertouch though...I'll have to get back to you on that one! HTH! - KarmaFX yes, my bad. i thought i tried that and it didn't work but i must have had something hooked up wrong. so...

so linear mode respects the initial setting of the knob being modulated, that much i get, but i'm still not clear on when to use range-scaled. is it intended to modulate without respect to the initial setting, ie. ignore the initial knob setting? or is there even more to it than that? sorry to be d...

You can increase or decrease mod depth (center position is standard) so it should be possible to create a modulator that modulates resonance and cutoff simultaneously, but at different levels with just one mod depth knob. you mean using the mod depth knob for the cutoff? but how do you independentl...

robenestobenz, thanks for all your input. very helpful. the more i think about it, the more it feels like a bug that the Mod Depth only affects the 1st knob in any component. in other words, it should set the Mod Depth for the whole component, not just any particular control within the component. gu...

hey, what's going on with the quote mechanism on this forum? seems to properly outline the intended quote, but no text? doing it the same as always, but doesn't appear to work. @robenestobenz: assume each quoted box contains the corresponding paragraph from your post in order to make sense of this.....

Maybe the modulation depth is for changing the ratio of control between cutoff and resonance? It's very useful for assigning two parameters to a midi-controller - I made a patch a couple of minutes ago which uses the mod wheel to change both the cutoff and resonance of a bandpass, and without this ...

thanks for correcting me. you are right. it works fine in eXT (my usual host for these kinds of experiments). the problem i described was in MiniHost, which i had set up to run KarmaFX in 'stand-alone' mode. it does, in fact, load the first patch of a new bank, thus overwriting the current patch... ...

i know i would love to have some docs. i feel like i'm missing some great stuff as i explore my way through this synth (although doing it blind has been a lot of fun too - leads you to try stuff that may not make perfect sense, just to see how it works - with resulting 'happy accidents'). i know kar...

FR - save current patch to new bank
if i use a patch from one bank as a starting point for a new patch, is there an easy way to save it to a different bank than the current one? upon loading a new bank, the first patch from the new bank is loaded and i lose my edits. i think i can save it to an .fxp (in hosts that support it) and then...

Q: Interaction of Gate and ADSR in Amplifier Module
hi kasper, thanks for your help so far. i'm trying to get a handle on how the Gate in an Amplifier interacts with the release phase of an ADSR used to modulate the Amp knob in the same Amplifier. should this be a case of using one or the other? what are the characteristics of the gate? it seems to r...

Q: Modulation Depth
hi, i'm playing with modulating the cutoff and res in a filter module (either by LFO or MidiData), but i notice the Modulation Depth control only seems to act on the cutoff (i'm using it to effect the range of the modulation). how do i control the range for the resonance? i know i can do this using ...

Sync in LFO Modulator ?
hi, 1) using v0.90. 2) host=energyXT. 3) the sync in the LFO does not appear to follow the host tempo 4) set the sync option ON and vary the tempo in eXT. the LFO rate does not change from that set via the Rate knob. am i missing something (probably)? thanks. edit: actually, the rate does change whe...

New Patch->Simple Sampler
hi,
new user here. using .90 release.
i notice the Simple Sampler patch appears to be incorrect.
it is showing OSC2 rather than the SAMPLER in the Generator1 module.
