Tutorials!

Kasper,
Some time ago I got Karma partly because I thought it would be a good way to learn more about synthesis and modular synthesis, and partly because the sounds it can create are quite interesting. I haven't really been able to get the most out of it though, which is entirely due to my own limitations. I am an amateur hobbyist. I know the basics of subtractive synthesis and I've read articles and a book or two, but I'm far from skilled.
Anyway, I think you've done a great job with the program and I don't have any major complaints there (although I'd like to re-iterate my FR request for an easier way to see patch cable routing! ), and you did a good job with the manual, which I read entirely, but some things are still confusing to me.
So anyway I think it'd be great if you did some basic tutorials which tackle common sound design tasks. For an example of the type of problems I run into, here is an example. I like to go through the presets and try to deconstruct how certain sounds are made. I was messing about with "303 like27" from the bass bank. I liked the sound, so I figured I would try to decouple it from the pattern sequencer. I thought it would be pretty straightforward. Just disconnect that module, and replace it with a normal note controller, right? Well, when I do that and play notes, I just get rhythmic clicking sounds. I know, I am clueless, and it is embarassing that I couldn't figure out such a simple tasks. Which is why I think it'd be great to have some tutorials for noobs like me.
Another question, is it possible to use the Step module to create trance gate effects? If so can you provide an example?
Thanks for your time.
