Mono mode problems

Forgive me if this sounds ignorant. I ran into a problem using the monophonic mode of the pitch controller. If I a hold a key (let's say, a bass note on the lower register) and start playing another note, most of the VSTs and VAs I am used to would revert back to the bass note once I release the higher note. With KarmaFX, the higher note keeps playing even though I am now only holding the bass note. This is a last-note-priority mode I haven't encountered before. Is there a way of getting around this? I would like to obtain an effect similar to what Keith Emerson does with portmento and a bass note drone.

By the way, have I mentioned that your VSTs are awesome?

Thanks :D

the old note shouldn't retrigger right ?
it should simply repitch to the last pressed key. correct ?
At least it seems to work like that on access virus.

edit: correction: no, actually it does retrigger on the virus.
Is this what you want?

Hmmm. I don't think that the old note should retrigger. But it may be an option. When I go home, I will check my synths and maybe the documentation of some older synths. It should use portamento to go back to the old note though.
While I am asking for features, how hard would it be to add an option for note priority in mono mode? :) Like, low note, high note, last note priority. Currently, it is last note priority. These two articles are very useful:

I investigated.

Minimoog:
1. legato: does not retrigger env. for old note
2. non legato: does not retrigger env. for old note

Ensoniq ESQ1:
1. does not retrigger env for old note

Alesis ION:
1. legato: does not retrigger
2. non legato: retriggers

I would probably either add an option or go for not triggering.

Thanks Berk,

I've added the non-retrigger version.
Will be in next release.
