I don't know if this has been asked or if it is in your to-do list but here goes:
1. keyboard shortcuts:
G create generator
F create filter
A create amplifier
C create controller
E create effect
M create modulator
I insert component
this could work as in in ctr-click a component and then click the one it should be connected to but in this case it is inserted in the chain.
2. copy/paste of (multiple) component with current settings (even across presets).
