I have to say that I am really happy with the new sampler features... specially the import/selection of soundfont2 files.
Reasons: implementing a "full" (akai or whatever) sampling import would mean a lot of extra time - and there are ways to convert akai to sf2, right?
But I think it would be great to see an implementation of the sfz format by rgc:audio. It is an open format (at least I think so) which provides a simple way to create multisamples; in fact sfz consists simply of a text file where the sample names (wav) and the keyzones/velocity layers are defined.
Practically it's a quite simple yet powerful script language. Full description can be found here: http://www.rgcaudio.com/sfzformat.htm.
My question to the community: How you think about that? Would it be useful?
Peace
Stefan
sf2 support is great... would it be good to have sfz support
