KarmaFX manual

Post by robenestobenz »

Kasper, would you be interested in a manual for KarmaFX synth? IIRC Open Office has a PDF export feature, and I could get it and try to knock something up in that.

i know i would love to have some docs. i feel like i'm missing some great stuff as i explore my way through this synth (although doing it blind has been a lot of fun too - leads you to try stuff that may not make perfect sense, just to see how it works - with resulting 'happy accidents').

i know karmaFX has stated that docs will be provided with the 1.0 release, so i'm perfectly happy to wait until then, but in the meantime... :D

Hey!

Actually I have already started doing the manual... and yes it will
be finished by version 1.0.
but if you like you could for example make a tutorial and I would
be extremely happy to put it on the site !
What do you think ?

Yeah, sure. I'd be glad to help. Would you basically want something covering the basics of making a synth, and common techniques using the modules?

What kind of format would you like it in?

What you write is basically up to you...

I guess a tutorial on how to get started, perhaps covering some of
its "oddities" that you might have found when starting out ?

Bear in mind though that some things might change in future version. For instance, I plan to make the loading, saving and browsing of patches much more intuitive and user friendly.

btw: pdf format is fine.
