How should I configure those for maximum compatibility and stability with Karma?

by keeping it like it is now
its definitely the most predictable configuration
it saves all there is to save
i cant say about the ones in the frame though (that would be guesswork)

The reason I ask is because ever since I started trying to assemble an actual track I've run into a few issues like the crash bug, and other instability, like a patch sounding different and distorted between loads. At least the crash one is obvious when it happens, but the patch issue is difficult because sometimes it can be subtle and I am not sure if it's playing back correctly. I will experiment with those settings after all and try migrating the existing track into a new one to see if that cures the issues, if not I guess I'll abandon the track or see about replacing the karma instances with a different VST and see if that works.
