Wires - Gettin rid of them

Post by matthewjumpsoffbuildings »

Is there an easier way to remove wires than right clicking on the module that they go into and un-ticking the source?

Its easy to make wires with ctrl-click, i reckon if you ctrl-right click on a wire it should delete. something like that would be handy.

Yes, there is another option:

Simply ctrl clicking like you would if you had to create the wire again
will remove that wire !

However, this is not intuitive, so I plan to make this different somehow.
Havn't really come up with a better way yet though.

ps: Be careful that you don't accidently create an infinite loop.

I think u should be able to click on the wire and have it bring up a context sensitive menu...including a delete option.

Maybe, use the arrow, make it a little bigger or give it a generous hitstate, so that u can click on it and it brings up options.

Although sometimes I've found this useful. I like the option to create feedback loops a lot, even though it can be dangerous like you say.

As robenestobenz said, it would be better if the option to create feedback loops was still there, perharps tho add a warning screen in case it was created accidentally, but i think u should try and come up with a more intuitive way to remove wires that allows the creation of loops in a completely unrelated fashion, so the user will not confuse the 2 actions...

I've made it so holding the mouse over a wire-arrow, highlights the arrow. Right clicking removes the wire. Hope this is what you asked for?! Will be in next release.
