Sustain pedal support?

Post by pedx1ng »

Hi,

Is it possible to get sustain pedal functionality working? If so, how?

I did a search and saw that it was asked once before but never answered.

Thanks.

maybe its already there

did you try assigning midi code to the output level of ie. a LFO module?

The limited way of using sustain pedal is mapping CC64 to ADSR module's Release setting. While it gives the action, it has its shortcomings.

You should be able to get sustain pedal support by using the mididata module like MadGonzo suggests.
That way you can link it to whatever knob you want it to control...

Malice: Nice to hear that you have tried it....What shortcomings are you thinking of in particular ? :)

tried to LFO the sustain of an ADSR module?
Wouldn't that simply fluctuate the general output based on the LFO's waveform?

karmafx: Well, with my method it simply is limited to the maximum release length as opposed to flatline infinite, which is what the sustain pedal really is. Note Off does not occur until CC64 = 0.
