SpaceBleepsSound

Post by Jackmon »

Hi All,

I am trying to recreate a patch in Karma that I have made in other modular synths, (it is sometimes known as 'Space Bleeps'):

My problem is I can't seem to make it work very well in Karma. I am using a square wave as a clock source, but all I get is the clicking sound which doesn't vary in pitch.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Jackmon,

Sorry for the slow reply.

I'm not familiar with this particular Space Bleeps setup,
but if you need to have pitch variation in KarmaFX Synth, you'll need a Controller somewhere in your patch chain.

The Controller is responsible for generating the internal frequency control signal that is fed to all modules placed _before_ the controller in the signal chain, and thus sets the frequency of the Oscillators.
For note and octaves use the NotePitch Controller.
For high frequency sweeps, use the Frequency Controller.

Hope this helps, if at all still relevant.
