I downloaded the latest demo ..1.06 (March 2nd), installed it, but when I open it up in cubase, it says my 30 day trial has expired.

I used to have an old version of KarmaFX years ago when it was still donationware, so I thought it might be confusing the 2 somehow. So I uninstalled the new demo and searched my computer and deleted anything with the name "karmafx" in it. Then I redownloaded and reinstalled the demo and the same thing happened.

How to I get the demo working right?

What you did sounds about right. If the previous version was from the donationware days then they should'nt conflict at all.

Please check that your computers date is correct. If that checks out then I cannot say why it doesn't work in your case.

If possible, perhaps you can try it out on a different computer ?

Hmm, I did everything you suggested and still no go. I don't have access to another computer just yet so it may take a few days to try it.

I just set my computer time to February and magically it works.

If I were to pay for the full version, could I set my computer's date correctly, lol?

huh? sounds weird...
but yes, of course the registered version does not have any date checking or timeouts.

i had that too
on my work computer
-i know i shouldn't play at work but....
never worked out why
maybe some temp file or something in the registry??

wish i'd bought it back then....
