Hi guys,
yes...i may seem like a mad man..well i am...
but i often end to automate lots of parameters in my works...automation is sound's life

is possible to have automation slots for every parameter present in the karma-fx synth patch?
thanx

well matt..
my request is obviously related to my workflow...
i often use Bidule as a host for my live improvisations...
bidule provides a midi learn function for every instruments/effect parametere loaded in the host...
it gives a list of all the parameters for every effect/instruments...
they way karma synth is now you have to decide what paramenters you want to automate at patch-design time...
from the improviser point of view it would be way better to be able to chose the parameter to automate at performance time...
so i really like to have the karma patches showing all their parameters to the host...so i'd can make my choices at performance time...
incidentally thew present automation system of karma-fx does'nt update the parameter list in bidule...
i mean when you assign parameterers to the automation slots..the host doesn't see the parameter names..

Hi lalo,
I agree that work-flow wise it might not always be optimal.
But as you know this was done to ease usage.
To me it would be confusing to have *lots* of automated params.
32 might too few slots though, I'll think about changing it.
btw: Another good thing about parameter mapping is that the automated
parameters even might make sense when changing patch, if say you
mostly mapped cutoff to the same parameter in each patch.

More than extra slots, I'd love to be able to name the parameters.

Awesome news! This will be so nice - whenever I load old projects with lots of automation of KarmaFX parameters, I always forget which cutoff etc. is which.

rebump badly...
..i explain why...i'm using stuff mostly in live-sets...
..i have a novation sl-61 a kenton with 16 midi faders and a wacom table mapped to the livelab tablet app....
a lot of controllers (i plan to buy jazzmutant lemur too)...
i tend to build stuff to be controlled entirely live...
imagine a synth with 4 adsr 2 oscs and couple of filter...and some delay and distortion...i often run out of the 32 available slot....
..please..i pray... at least 64 would be fair...128 better
thanx

ok, lalo Thanks...I'll take you prayer into consideration !
not sure it will be in version 1.0 though....I mean technically there's no problem supporting 128, it's mostly layout-wise that I find it a problem...
unless someone has a neat idea on how to squeze it in

..hope you'll find a solution....it would very important for my work-flow

ok, next release will have 128 automation slots!
havn't decided what to about the control panel....maybe it should only access the first 32 or maybe i'll update that too to support 128
i'm thinking of adding an option that maps all knobs/sliders to the controls.... so get ready to go beserk in modulation madness
